I’m very hopeful about ‘Rickshaw Girl’: Novera Rahman

Versatile actor Novera Rahman-starrer film “Rickshaw Girl” is going to be released in theatres across the country on 24 January. She has played the title role “Naima” in the Amitabh Reza Chowdhury-directed movie.

The director has high expectations that Novera will impress the audience with her fabulous performance. Because, she has performed much better than the director had expected about the character of Naima. Therefore, not only the maker but everyone associated with “Rickshaw Girl” hope that Novera will surprise the audience with her role in the project.

About the film, Novera Rahman said, “The story of ‘Rickshaw Girl’ is amazing. I can say that, the audience has not seen a movie with this kind of story before and it is uncertain whether a project will be made with this kind of story in the future. Naima is an artist, her dream was to become a big artist. But fortune was not in her favour, she came to the capital and dressed up as a boy and drove a rickshaw.”

“I work very selectively. The story of the movie ‘Rickshaw Girl’ is to my liking. I have been drawing since childhood. The character of Naima is also an artist. So the director thinks I can do this character. That’s why he cast me. I’ve tried my level best to portray myself according to the character. I’m very hopeful about the movie. I urge the audience to come to cinemas and watch the movie”, she added.

Novera Rahman is a talented artiste of the country. She started her acting journey with the BTV’s drama ‘Dure Kethao’. Her mother Momena Chowdhury is also popular theatre and TV artiste, who has fascinated the audience with her performance in many TV dramas. Momena Chowdhury’s worthy successor is Novera Rahman.

Earlier, she has earned huge acclamation for her role in Rubayet Hossain’s film “Made in Bangladesh”. Her first movie was Mannan Hira’s “71-er Khudiram”. She has also acted in some dramas and short films.
